There are a few comments about MA hating. I've not come across anything what is it people dislike? Looking inside my cheap as chips bx1 they look very well constructed for the money.

That's a great idea that I hadn't thought of. I could run a set to my kitchen which obviously sounds awful. I wonder what sort of job it would do of that.

The trio TT has been in my dads loft for 30 years. I've not had chance to look at it properly yet. This is perhaps more for curiosity for the kids. I do not plan on spending a lots on cartridges and stylus to get it running or buying a large collection of vinyl. is this a given that they will need changing after so long? I was impressed with the CDP when i bought it 20 years ago. Have Dac's improved significantly since? It will make a great stable transporter if they have and i'll use the dac in the amplifier i plan on buying which will probably be the yamaha R-N803. So nothing high end for me purely budget. I do plan on building some speakers this year.

Hello, I've been here a few days but only just noticed this welcome thread. I look forward to getting to know you lot.
  9. I'm going to try and get up there. Its a bit of a trek from Cardiff on my own but I'm sure there are others travelling further.

Do you know if you the DSP let you set crossover points and a/b speaker channels? I'm wondering if you could run a passive sub of the b channels and the let the room correction set the levels.

haha very true. I already have an old radiogram in the place I'd like to put the build it doesn't even work it just furniture!! It's 110cm I was hoping I could get away with 150cm if I'm only sitting 250-300cm away from them. I think I'm running before i can walk on this one.

Thank you for your reply. Trying to get away with large speakers in the lounge that meets WAF (wife approval factor) i've also considered a one-piece active speaker cabinet idea inspired by mid-century radiograms as she likes this time period decor. Mounting the mark audio drivers as far to either edge as possible. Would this be disastrous for stereo imagining having all the drivers in one cabinet but separate enclosers?

Is there any sound isolating material between the two cabinets? I've been pondering a sealed cabinet but with a subwoofer and a mark audio driver in their own enclosure within it. Is this a bad idea acoustically?

It's the DSP that's swinging it for me.

It's sexy, how do you like it? What speakers are you using?
