    Loudness Wars Question

i recently listened to AC/DC high voltage album, and it sounds so clean and spacious, loads of dynamism......thats how i want a rock/metal album to sound I also thought Iron Maidens a matter of life or death album was incredible with respect to dynamic range, which was a pleasure to listen to considering their previous efforts (except for the very old stuff) which all sounded very compressed and flat. I havent really kept up with their more recent releases tho

    Pipework shelf

I don't have a phono stage so am using my old Stanton mixer (from when I thought I was a DJ in my youth). Does the job.... Sent from my SM-G960F using Tapatalk

  5. Hi, I was hoping to purchase a mani phono stage from schitt, but they appear to have none in stock. Therefore my next best hope is someone randomly has one knocking about spare......a long shot but worth a try. cheers

    Pipework shelf

Thanks. Walls are two tone green from valspars bookcase collection https://www.valsparpaint.co.uk/collections/the-bookcase/ Specifically "tortoise and the hare" and "wind in the willows" colours. Slime and mud green to you or me [emoji1787] not everyone's taste but gives a chilled out library vibe. Sent from my SM-G960F using Tapatalk

    Pipework shelf

Yeh wires go from the control unit under the floor boards up through the pipework to their respective level.... Was more awkward than expected... Sent from my SM-G960F using Tapatalk

    Pipework shelf

Hi all, Wasn't sure where to post this. I've been wanting to build a black iron pipework shelf for ages as I love the industrial/Victorian look they have. It would also give me the space to house my technics 1210 turntable so I can start playing vinyl again.. so it is hifi related [emoji1787] Finally got round to drawing up plans and buying material. Went for 3/4" pipework and fittings and chunky 1,1/4" tulip wood. Also for good measure and to totally bite off more than I could chew, I decided to install led lighting on the back of each shelf and bury the wires in the pipework and floor for a clean look. I won't bore you with all the prep work, so here is the final result. I'm pretty pleased with it. Sent from my SM-G960F using Tapatalk

    Different browsers

I read this and other forums on Tapatalk as it's convenient and clean on a smartphone. However I have noticed that hifiwigwam is the slowest on Tapatalk for updating.....so don't know if there's something specific to wams website that makes it slower relative to other forums.... At home I use Firefox Sent from my HTC One using Tapatalk

Went for the Wilko granite work top savers. Excellent value at a 10 quid a pop, thanks for the suggestion. Sounds quite a bit tighter at the low end now. Sent from my HTC One using Tapatalk
