Ask paul at evolution audio if he will make a pair from the coax. He may, or may not. He equally may have a alternate suggestion. I would just go with decent copper jobies made from Van Damme cable.

Btw if you have shared drains, eg a common feed with several houses before entering the main sewer its the responsibilty of the local water authority, thats why they put the rates up a few years ago DEFRA October 2011 applies. And will do it free. If it was you house direct to the mains, then its upto you to get it sorted as your the only one affected. Regards Alan Swmbo works for Dynorod.

Water, and lots of it, is your friend. Have you got drain tools on the end of this sweeps rods? Kits come with tools, including a screw and plunger. The screw will grab stuff or tear it apart. Send that in first, but take heed of the advice above and only ever turn the rods clockwise!. Never turn anti clockwise or they come apart underground and you'll be much deeper in the shit. You'll hear the blockage go, then get as many of the 4 bogs flushing as possible and send the plunger down at the same time to push a large body of clean water through.

If you have a pressure washer you can get an accessory that fits on and goes down the inspection pit and forces its way along by water pressure hosing out any blockages as it goes. I saw dynorod use something very similar and jolly effective it was too. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Karcher-Gutter-Pipe-Drain-Cleaning-Accessory-Kit-for-K2-K7-Pressure-Washer-/131310096921?pt=UK_DIY_Materials_Plumbing_MJ&hash=item1e92b11219

Spot on, I should have said that myself in my first post! No experience with the latter, but I can confirm the booze suggestion. For my taste, it should have certain qualities, hopefully we can do some N&T at next Scalford

I've just got plastic ones from Wickes, but any should do. IMPORTANT - AWAYS twist clockwise, both going in and out. You don't want a section unscrewing itself down there...

I won that particular competition 4 years in a row from 2003 onwards. Couldn't attend in 2007 following a shark attack.
