Oooh, how pretty

19 posts in this topic

Thanks to (a very generous) Scott stormyuklondon1 I have this very weekend acquired a Henley Design stand. Nothing charged for it, just that I collect it and with the proviso that I act appropriately in turn.

I have wanted one for a while - when one last came up, it wouldn't fit into the room as then configured (this is a very small hifi room).

Well, collected it yesterday morning (nice 5 hour round trip on the nation's motorways:)) and spent most of the afternoon 're-arranging'. Bugger me if this is not a thankless task, which I rediscover every time I do it.

Well, I like it so much that I will inflict some pictures on you

You will note that my old-fashioned tapedeck is too high for the shelf spacing - so one shelf has been left out and the DAC relegated to sitting under the computer printer

And a little bit closer.

Thanks very much again Scott. I will shortly be offering the predecessor to this rack on the same basis (just need to take a picture or 2, etc). I will also make a suitable donation to the PDSA shortly.

Kevin

Yep, Nak 600

And the Yes 'poster' is my computer screen - used to have a full sized one on my bedroom wall in the 70s though :D

As an educated guess, I’d say it was a Yes Keys to Ascension wallpaper.;)

Nice set up:)

Yep:nerd: - I hasten to add it wasn't this particular poster I had in the 70s - bit anachronistic as it is from the 90s

OMG we have wallpaper spotters now!

(just kidding Jeff)

Nice rack Kev, and nice way of doing things Stormy, after a few threads in here recently where a few wammers were unhappy with the end results of the deals it is nice to see :D

The tidiness is a direct result of having to swap eveything around, it really is seldom that clean & tidy :D.

Carpet colour and sight of the desk surface were a revelation :zip:

No, It's nice to see that you take care of your surroundings. I am a tidy person and hate mess, my missus love mess so we are always huffing and puffing about housework.

I do like the Henley Designs racks, they look nice and are really well made. I had to cop out and buy the Atacam Equinox but I'm really happy with it.

looking good Kev, we had visitors last night and they commented on my stand...lovely bit of furniture. stops it looking so cold and technical whilst still looking purposeful.

Looking good Kevin, but I don't think you have enough vinyl and CDs. :P

And as for the lack of mess, Mrs TIU has a degree in making a mess. I've given up. :(;)

Mr Flea ( or can I call you Aural)

I like your CD racks - did you make them yourself or buy? If latter can you disclose your source as I would like some.

Hi kmac - sure, call me flea :D

The cd racks are actually a combination of 2 types I found at Argos - but don't think they sell them anymore.

The final rearrangement of my stull is coming soon, with some of these buggers replacing some of what I have now

FLÄRKE

Probably the best modular option I have seen lately

Good luck

Kevin
