Music for the show fund

23 posts in this topic

To help provide funds for the show the mods have suggested donating excess records and CD's and giving the proceeds to help the fund.

I'll start by offering three records:-

Bob Dylan - together through life 180 g - SOLD

Prodigy - invaders must die - SOLD

Roxie Music - for your pleasure

All in excellent condition, a tener, ono, will secure & postage is included

Lets try and keep it simple, say max 10 items per add and please mark items as sold when they have been. If all items have been sold one of us will remove the add. Only post in this thread please.

Once sold please pm me for bank details and please mark payments as "music sale donation".

Graham should have a paypal account open soon and that will help.

Regards

PB

Excellent idea. I have a trio of Jazz CDs, all as good as new:

- John Coltrane, Blue Train (Three albums on 2 cds, Blue Train, Soultrane and Dakar)

- Bill Evans, From Left To Right

- Clifford Brown, Jazz Immortal

Tenner for the three together delivered. Just PM me your address, I'll confirm you're the first and then you ping me back confirming you've paid or will be paying to the above PayPal address. And don't lie ;-)

If every member does this small thing................

I'll confirm here when they're gone.

OK, here's some stuff from my box of unwanted old crap. ;-) Most of these LP's are pretty old, but sleeves and discs are all in decent condition. I'll try to give each of them a spin over the week to make sure there are no serious issues - but 30 year old vinyl is 30 year old vinyl. Most of these have had little play, because I don't like them.

The best offer over £1 on each record by midnight on Friday 24th will secure. I will post the best offers so far here. Offers by PM please.

If you can collect (High Wycombe, Coventry, or Sunday at the show) - great. :D

If you can't collect, post and packing will be paid by me.

1. Dire Straits - Alchemy (Live) Vertigo VERY 11, 1984, 2 x LP

2. Pink Floyd - The Wall EMI SHDW 411, 1979, 2 x LP

3. Elton John - Live in Australia Rocket EJLP2, 1987, 2 x LP

4. Elvis Costello & The Attractions - Girls Girls Girls Demon Records D-Fiend 160, 1989, 2 x LP

5. Genesis - Invisible Touch Virgin GEN LP2, 1986, 1 x LP

6. Peter Gabriel - So Charisma PG5, 1986, 1 x LP

7. The Christians - The Christians Island ILPS 9876, 1987, 1 x LP

8. Chaka Khan - Destiny Warner WX45, 1896, 1 x LP

9. T'Pau - Bridge of Spies Siren SRN LP8, 1987, 1 x LP

10. Philip Bailey - Chinese Wall CBS 450089 1, 1984, 1 x LP

Roll up! :D

Mibby, I'll offer a tenner if you DON'T send them to me

aksherlee, that may be a better/ more realistic way of raising funds on this choice selection. See what people will bid NOT to have these inflicted on them.

Or, what about bidding with the intention of "gifting" them to a 3rd party. I nominate Rabski to get them :D
