Beautiful creatures and that blue color...!

That's the Southern Ocean for you on a good day, crystal clear mainly, but very unpredictable :nerves:On the way back from that trip, we had to cross the Drake Passage, towards Cape Horn. It lived up to it's reputation, 40 foot waves, serious stuff!

what a trip this must have been!!!

It was! Three weeks on a ship, (with many landings, by Zodiac) - MV Professor Multanovskiy - leaving Argentina and sailing to The Falkland Islands, South Georgia, Elephant Island and the Antarctic Peninsula. Birding trips don't come much better!

Two things caught me in this pic. The gentlemen of Sussex - some of 'em look like a laydee ;-) (in front of right post) and secondly on the right there is a guy who looks even bigger than you :shock:
