Mains Plugs

13 posts in this topic

Super Mod

Anyone know a good source of high-quality re-wireable US type mains plugs?

I've got a spare KK Mercury that I can't use with the Victor CDP because the 100V transformer takes a US/Japanese style mains plug. If I could find a decent plug I could re-terminate it.

It works, if the cable is too thin to stay in wrap some foil paper around wire and push in with a bit of a match stick

Why not go the whole hog and push with a (non-electricians) screwdriver.

Didn't you realise that plugs don't make a difference.

No the socket as that is the only important thing as it is the end of the mains supply before you get to wanky wires with dodgy plugs.

Where's cjr when you need him :D
