VOLTAGE Question

Just stick in a series resistor (with possibly a capacitor) ot drop the voltage. Calculate the resistor required based on current draw.

...just be aware that the volt drop will vary with current draw though - dunno how constant the current drain of the amp might be though. Or you could use a LM317 adjustable regulator anda couple of resitors, but for the hassle it'd be easier to get a new PSU.

Sure, that's why the cap's there to help smooth it out. It will most likely be fine.... Good enough for government work (and Dave ;-) )
